For the past 25 years, Dr. Nancy Edwards was an alumni interviewer and minority student recruiter for Yale. Today, she is focused on blending her career and personal experience to help students from all academic backgrounds land at a "best fit" college.  She has a B.A. in Modern French studies from Yale, a PhD. in European History from Berkeley, and a Specialized Certificate in College Counseling from UCSD.  She is an active member of The Potomac and Chesapeake Association for College Admissions Counseling (PCACAC), Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA) and The Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) as well as Black IEC's on Facebook. She was recently elected to serve as an at-large delegate to the Yale Alumni Association Assembly. 

 

She volunteered for over a decade for the College Success Foundation reviewing applications for scholarships for underserved low-income students as well as assisting in application fairs. She is currently a ScholarMatch mentor. Her students have gained admissions to top universities such as Yale, Notre Dame, NYU, Pitt, McGill, Tulane, IU-Kelley School of Business, University College Dublin, Fordham, Drexel, Boston College, Northwestern, Elon, USC Annenberg, USC Thornton and USC Marshall, University of Miami, Dartmouth, Clemson, UCLA, Tel Aviv Univesity-Columbia University Dual Degree Program, LSU-Honors, University of Michigan-SMTD, Brown, University of Delaware and CU-Boulder. Her goal is to reduce the stress of college admissions for the student and family.  As a parent of a recent college graduate (Yale '22) and a recent high school graduate (Yale '26), Nancy knows first-hand the complexities of modern college applications.
